Holy Cross and Parish Ministry

Vatican II asked religious congregations to renew themselves in the spirit of their founders and deepen their awareness of their charism.  Each religious congregation should bring "something special" to life and mission of the Church.  This has an impact, not only on their internal, community life, but also on their apostolic ministries.

The Holy Cross Brothers, especially in the South-West Province, have provided leadership in dialoging with their collaborators and students, articulating the values of Holy Cross education, and teaching those values.  The Holy Cross Institute at St. Edward's University in Austin, TX is the focal point.  A visitor to any of their schools can sense something of Holy Cross on the campuses; students and faculty live by and can express the values of Holy Cross education.

This web page is intended to be a resource for Holy Cross religious and their collaborators.  It contains Holy Cross documents, reflections, history, and other resources to help articulate our Holy Cross values in our pastoral work, especially in parishes.
